Adil Shah, Ibrahim shah

and Sikandar Shah (Suris)

On the death of Islam Shah, his twelve years old son, Firuz Khan was raised to the throne in Gawalair, but soon after Islam Shah’s cousin Mubariz Khan (son of Sher Shas’s younger brother Nizam) came and killed the boy, Firuz, in front of his mother Bibi Bai.

After few days later Mubariz Khan ascended the throne as Adil Shah.

In 1557, after an inglorious reign of three years, Adil Shah was defeated and killed by the Sultan of Bengal. Of the other two Sur monarchs, Ibrahim expelled from Delhi by Sikandar Shah, took refuge in Orissa and died there in obscurity; Sikandar himself was driven out by the Mughals and died in Bengal. The dynasty of Sher Shah Suri thus became extinct in just two decades
