DHILLIKA

Dhillika, witch later became Delhi, was founded in c 736 by the Tumaras, a powerful Rajput clan in North India.

TURKS DYNASTY

In A.D 1151, the Ghurid, Ala-ud-din Hasan, invaded the Ghaznavid lands and the last two rulers of Gaznavid were defeated by Muizz-ud-din Muhammad bin Sam, younger brother of the Ghurid ruler Ghiyas-ud-din Muhammad bin Sam in A.H 589 (A.D 1193) He issued the coins in Hindustan (India)His slave Qutb-ud-din Aibak was established the Delhi Sultanate

The last king of this sultanate, Kaiqubad was murdered by Malik Firuz; he ascended the throne of Delhi as Jalal-ud-din Firuz Shah (A.H 689-695 / A.D 1290-1296) Thus started the Khilji dynasty.

QUTB MINAR
Place : Delhi

Qutb Minar, the tower Built by Qutb-ud-Din Aibak in 1206-  Iltutmish in 1230 and last Firuz Shah Tughlaq in AD 1370, It took over 164 year to complete, measuring 72.5 m (239 ft) in height, it is the tallest brick minaret in the world.

Died: in 1287, from grief at the death of his son Muhammad.

Buried: Close to the Quwwat al-Islam Mosque, Mahrauli, Delhi.

Muiz-ud-din Qaiqabad

Qaiqabad was a Muslim Turkic ruler and the tenth Sultan of Delhi of medieval India during the Mamluk dynasty (or Slave dynasty). He was the son of Bughra Khan and grandson of Ghiyas ud din Balban (1266-1287)

Died: 1290, kicked to death by followers of the Khiljis.
